$23,800 DEL. WINNERS OVER, $19,500 4&5-YEAR-OLD PACES SUNDAY

 

DOVER, Del. --- A hard-hitting band of nine fast pacers tangle in the $23,800 Delaware Winners-Over pace at Dover Downs on Sunday, March 30. A $19,500 and two $16,000 pace for young horses, top the undercard. Daily post time is now at 5:30 p.m.

 

Ima Prince Too drops down from the Delaware Special ranks in the $23,800 feature. Owned by Sam Jacobs, Elrita Annett and Charles Burris, the Cambest gelding will be driven by meet leader Tony Morgan from post 9 in the second tier. Jack Davis’ Hot Lather finished second beaten a neck last Monday in a 1:51.4 mile. Corey Callahan returns to drive. After three straight post 8 starts, Pukpuk Power N moves in four spots and will be teamed with Tim Tetrick.

 

He’s Personal and Vic Kirby also should profit from an inside post, leaving from the rail for owners Les Walls and Jack Upchurch. Bob Messick’s Menno Boy has been racing well for Eddie Davis Jr. George Hobbs’ The Other Cheek with trainer-driver Eddie Dennis has won two of his last two races. The other starters are Bob Davison’s Bucktown Badboy and Jim Morand, Robin and Jay Breasure’s Mr. Socks steps out of the claimers after winning two of his previous three races. And Warren Racing Stable and trainer-driver Dylan Davis’ Grinfrombeertobeer burdened with post 8.

 

Tony Morgan is behind Sam Jacobs and Crissman Inc.’s Caiden’s Colt in the sub-feature $19,500 4&5-Year-Old pace. Bill Emmons’ Heza Character (Mike Cole) has been racing well as has Colleen and Wilma Chamber‘s Buffalo Have Wins, a winner of two of his last three. Jeff Bartels’ Kelly’s Spur with Jonathan Roberts has been to the winners circle twice in his previous four outings.

 

Not to be overlooked are Grand Sam and Tim Tetrick making his first start of 2008 from the rail. Wayne Givens and Neil Gargiulo’s Real Magician, piloted by Brandon Givens, Nick, Shaun and driver Corey Callahan’s Cathedral Grove, Dave and Linda Oliver’s Celii N with Jim Morand, and Art Crown Merit for Ask W Stables, Tina and driver George Dennis.

  

A pair of $16,000 Delaware 4&5-Year-Old Male paces, a $25,000 and a $20,000 Claiming pace are on the 15-race program.
